NEPSE closed at 1546.15 after losing huge 22.91 points: Is the bull run over?

The NEPSE Index closed today at 1546.15 after losing huge 22.91 points or 1.46% from yesterday's close. Today the market experienced a volatility of 35.44, with the highest point being 1577.19 and lowest point being 1541.75. 

Total market turnover was Rs 2.81 Arba, gained through 47,944 transactions of 87,856,788 shares. Today, the total number of scrips traded was 199.


In terms of sub-indices, all 12 were negative. Development Banks lost the most 2.18% whereas trading sector lost 0.21%.

Sikhar Insurance had the highest turnover of Rs. 31.95 crores. It was followed by Nepal Bank Limited(NBL), Nepal Re-insurance Company(NRIC), NMB Bank(NMB), Reliance Life Insurance(RLI), Neco Insurance(NIL), Nepal Life Insurance Company(NLIC), Himlayan Distillary Limited, Chhimek Laghubitta and Nabil Bank.


United Finance Limited (UFL) gained the most 6.82%. Yesterday, it had hit positive 10% circuit. Similarly, it was followed by Barun Hydropower (4.65%), Panchakanya Mai Hydropower Limited (3.67%), Taragoan Regency Hotel (3.29%), Laxmi Unnati Kosh (2.13%), Samriddhi Finance Company (1.65%), Nepal Lube Oil (1.6%), Salt Trading Concern (1.26%), Ghodaghodi Laghubitta (1.23%) and Forward Community Microfinance (0.64%).


On the other side, Liberty Energy Company Limited (LEC) lost the most 9.88% today. Consecutively, Ghlamdi Hydropower (9.47%), United Modi Hydropower (9.29%), Khanikhola Hydropower (8.05%), Ankhu Khola Jalvidhyut (7.95%), Saptakoshi Development Bank (7.33%), Dibyaswori Hydropower (7.32%), Multipurpose Finance Company (6.15%), National Hydropower Comapny (5.95%) and Rairang Hydropower (5.07%) were top losers.

 Interesting thing that has happened in terms of candlestick is that Three Black Crows pattern has been formed, which is interpreted as bearish reversal pattern by market pundits!!!
