The NEPSE Index closed today at 1555.52 after it gained 9.37 points (0.61%) from yesterday's close. Today the market experienced a volatility of 20.83, with the highest point being 1555.52 and lowest point being 1534.74. Day's close itself was intraday high.
Total market turnover was Rs 1.72 Arba, gained through 41,620 transactions of 5,862,617 shares. Today, the total number of scrips traded was 194. However, the turnover has decreased by 39% in compared to yesterday's amount.
In terms of sub-indices, 11 out of 12 were positive. Hydropower gained the most 2.8% whereas hotel sector lost 1.36%.
Sikhar Insurance had the highest turnover of Rs. 10.85 crores. It was followed by Nepal Bank Limited(NBL), Nepal Re-insurance Company (NRIC), Arun Valley Hydropower (AHPC), Reliance Life Insurance(RLI), Kumari Bank Limited (KBL), Nepal Life Insurance Company (NLIC), Neco Insurance (NIL), Arun Kabeli Power (AKPL) and Upper Tamakoshi Hydropower (UPPER).
Among the gainers, intrestingly all 10 of them are hydropower companies. AHPC gained the most 9.76%.
Meanwhile, Gukhas Finance lost the most 3.57% wheres in point's term its only Rs. 5. It was followed by Taragoan Hotel (1.99%), LEMF(1.97%), Laxmi Unnati Kosh (1.75%), NICD83/84 (1.67%), SHL (1.63%) and others.
Another intresting which happened today, was that as per candlestick pattern 'Three Black Crows' was formed the other day which pundits say is a bullish reversal. However, the market has gained 9.37 points today and it has made a hammer which is regarded as reversal of bearish market. So, is it time to enter the market or wait for another day's candle to confirm the reversal?
