NEPSE loses 6.12 points and closes at 1569.06; NEPSE's turnover was Rs 2.63 Arba

 The NEPSE Index closed today at 1569.06 after losing 6.12 points or 0.39% from yesterday's close. Today the market experienced a volatility of 26.5, with the highest point being 1587.99 and lowest point being 1561.49. 

Total market turnover was Rs 2.63 Arba, gained through 61,936 transactions of 8,565,078 shares. Today, the total number of scrips traded was 195.


In terms of sub-indices,11 out of 12 were red whereas only one was green. Manufacturing and Production sector gained meager 0.4% whereas Hotel lost the most by 1.52%.


Nepal Bank Limited (NBL) had the highest turnover of Rs. 21.38 crores. It was followed by Nepal Re-insurance Company, Reliance Life Insurance, Chimmek Laghubitta Bikash Bank, Shikhar Insurance, Bank of Kathmandu, Nabil Bank, Civil Bank, Arun Kabeli Power and Nepal Life Insurance Company.


United Finance Limited (UFL) hit a 10% positive circuit today. Similarly, it was followed by National Hydropower, Panchakanya Mai Hydropower Limited, Sindhu Bikash Bank, Nadep Laghubitta, Mero Microfinance, Nyagdi Power, Nepal Bank, Ridi Hydropower and Arun Valley Hydropower.

On the other side, Liberty Energy Company Limited (LEC) hit a 10% negative circuit today. Consecutively, Rairang Hydropower (9.80%), Ghlamdi Hydropower (9.52%), Mountain Hydropower (7.89%), Progressive Finance (6.61%), Barun Hydropower (6.52%), Central Finance Company (5.92%), Radhi Hydropower (5.45%), Reliance Finance (5.03%) and Himalayan Urja (4.72%) were top losers.
